BBQ Wholesale Expert Picks: Most Convenient East Coast Park BBQ Pits

Based on BBQ Wholesale’s onsite survey of the East Coast Park BBQ areas, our top convenience picks are Area C Pits 20-24 and Area E Pits 43-44.

We selected these pits based primarily on practical convenience, including walking distance to the nearest carpark, toilet and sheltered area. This can make a significant difference when carrying BBQ food, charcoal, drinks and equipment, or when organising gatherings with children and elderly guests.

Area C Pits 20-24

  • Nearest carpark: Carpark C4, approximately 1 to 2 minutes’ walk
  • Nearest toilet: Toilet C4, approximately 1 to 2 minutes’ walk
  • Shelter: Sheltered areas are available nearby

Why we recommend these pits: Area C Pits 20-24 offer one of the most convenient combinations of short walking distance to parking, toilets and nearby shelter based on our site survey.

Area E Pits 43-44

  • Nearest carpark: Carpark E2, approximately 1 to 2.5 minutes’ walk
  • Nearest toilet: Toilet E2, approximately 2 minutes’ walk
  • Shelter: Sheltered areas are available nearby

Why we recommend these pits: Area E Pits 43-44 are another strong choice for groups that prioritise convenient access to parking, toilets and nearby shelter.

How We Selected Our Expert Picks

These recommendations are based on BBQ Wholesale’s onsite survey and walking-time observations rather than an official NParks ranking. Walking times are approximate and may vary according to walking speed, route, temporary park works and accessibility needs.

We recommend checking your confirmed pit location and the latest East Coast Park map before your BBQ.

East Coast Park Facilities & Amenities

BBQ Pit Facilities

East Coast Park BBQ Pit 22 near the beachfront and sheltered pavilion in Singapore

East Coast Park has 74 designated BBQ pits across Areas C, D, E, F and G. Most pits are located in open-air beachfront areas, so weather conditions should be considered when planning your BBQ.

Facilities vary by location, which is why your pit number matters. Check the nearest toilet, carpark and sheltered area before confirming your booking, particularly when organising gatherings with children, elderly guests or large amounts of food and equipment.

Fun Fact: BBQ Wholesale delivery observation: Area C near Carpark C4 is one of our most convenient East Coast Park delivery locations. Based on our onsite survey, Pits 20-24 are approximately 1 to 2 minutes’ walk from Carpark C4, making food and equipment delivery considerably easier.

Toilets and General Amenities

East Coast Park has toilets, dining areas, playgrounds, cycling facilities and other recreational amenities distributed across its different areas. Because the park stretches over 13km, facilities can be significantly closer to some BBQ pits than others.

Use the carpark and toilet quick-lookup table above when choosing a pit, especially if convenient access is important for children, elderly guests or large gatherings. NParks states that East Coast Park is wheelchair accessible, except for some parts of the Xtreme Skatepark in Area F.

Cycling and Recreation

East Coast Park has extensive cycling and walking routes, with bicycle rental options available around the park. Visitors can also access recreational areas such as Cyclist Park, Coastal PlayGrove, Raintree Cove and other family-friendly facilities.

Rental operators, prices and operating hours may change, so check directly with the operator if bicycle rental forms part of your BBQ plans.

Getting to East Coast Park

By Public Transport

East Coast Park stretches over 13km, so the best public-transport route depends on your BBQ pit area.

The Thomson-East Coast Line provides access to the East Coast through stations including Marine Parade (TE26), Marine Terrace (TE27), Siglap (TE28) and Bayshore (TE29). NParks also lists Bedok MRT (EW5) as a nearby station for East Coast Park.

Check your BBQ pit number before travelling and plan the final walking or bus connection to the nearest park area rather than simply navigating to “East Coast Park”.

By Car

East Coast Park Carpark G near Area G BBQ pits in Singapore

East Coast Park has multiple carparks serving its different areas. For the BBQ areas, current NParks parking information includes Carparks C1, C2, C3 and C4 in Area C; D1, D3 and D5 in Area D; E1, E2 and E3 in Area E; F2 in Area F; and Carpark G in Area G.

Because the park is long, enter the nearest carpark to your confirmed BBQ pit into your navigation app rather than navigating only to “East Coast Park”. This can substantially reduce the distance you need to carry food, charcoal, drinks and BBQ equipment.

Parking fees may apply.
